How it all works

1. Business deep-dive

We’ll start with a kick-off brief where we’ll talk about your business, customers, and goals. I’ll then dive into customer research to get a clear understanding of what makes them tick.

2. Writing copy

Using my notes and insights from the deep-dive, I’ll create an outline for you before getting stuck into your first draft. This is where you can get on with your work and know that behind the scenes, it’s all getting done for you.

3. Edit and polish

After I send through the first draft, you have seven days to review and add any feedback or changes. You’ll have up to two rounds of revision before I send the final version to get professionally proofread.

Can I add more pages?

Of course. I have worked on websites of all sizes and will customise your quote to suit your requirements.

Do you know SEO?

Yes, I have been trained in SEO thanks to completing the invaluable Recipe for SEO Success course by SEO expert Kate Toon.

Do I need SEO?

While I am trained in SEO and know SEO can be invaluable for many businesses, I do believe it needs to sit within the context of your business. If that’s part of your strategy, having SEO copy on your site is important. If you have other stronger marketing channels that are working for you, it may not be a priority. Whether you choose to focus on SEO or not, I always put the customer first and create content that meets their needs as a priority.

Can you work with my web developer?

I generally don’t work directly with web developers as I provide all website copy in a developer-friendly format. This provides guidance and makes it easy for the developer, and rarely requires any further input from me.

How long does it take?

This depends on the size of your site and whether any customer interviews are required. I can provide indicative timelines in our first chat and confirmed timelines at the start of the project.

When can you start?

I typically have a four-week lead time. Once the initial 50% upfront payment is made, your project is locked in my calendar.
